Video commissioned by BIT20 to accompany their performance of Steve Reich’s Vermont Counterpoint. The video uses the compositional ideas of Reich on a generative feedback loop that uses as its starting point a calculation glitch on the graphic board, reproduced and amplified through the loop . Phase shifts in the signal creates the complex pattern, which is further tuned during the performance through my gestures as I balance the tip of my finger on a trackpad (2003).
